I am so grateful that my co-worker Billy trusted me as his wedding photographer. This was one of those weddings that I could NOT wait to feature on my blog. It was yet another wedding that made me realize how much I love being a photographer. Here are just a few pictures from the day!
We started out at Lifestyles Hair Design, while the ladies got their hair done. The stylist there, Katie Turner, did a beautiful job and was so much fun!
Then we headed over to the ceremony location, First Presbyterian church. The Yunker chapel there was built by the groom's Great grand-dad, Sylvester Yunker. What a perfect place to get married! Welbourn's Floral Company provided all the beautiful flowers.
Soon after arriving, it was time for everybody to get ready.
While I was getting some quick shots of the gorgeous bride, her son came out for a quick peek.
I'll save the first look for the couple, but here's a "before" shot
And more of the couple
Finally it was time for the Ceremony. It was short but sweet, with the bride Jacqueline singing a quick song. Check out the Facebook album for another shot from the ceremony!
Then it was time for the reception, held at the Owensboro Country Club. It was one of the most gorgeous receptions I've seen as a photographer! I mean, just check out the tower-o-seafood! The Owensboro Country Club also provided the catering and they did a gorgeous (and delicious - that's right I got to try some) job. The beautiful cake was from Dalisha's Desserts. It's my tradition to share a piece of cake with my other photographer Ian at each wedding and this one did not disappoint! Who knew that things that pretty could also taste that good?!
The 2nd Street Band of the Owensboro Symphony was playing at the reception, and any moment they weren't playing Jason Owens from Echoes Sound and Light was DJing. Of course, this resulted in TONS of dancing pictures. The music was non-stop and truly fantastic. Honestly, can we just relive this wedding every weekend? Please?
Here are a couple of scenes from the Reception!
Listening to Speeches
Cutting the cake
The dance with the father/mother
And obviously the dancing went on.
(Shout out to Chase and his phenomenal moves!)
Again, this was a beautiful and FUN wedding that I am so grateful to be a part of. I wish you two all the happiness in the world!
